The Saratoga Springs Rotary Home and Lifestyle Show History
The Saratoga Springs Rotary Home and Lifestyle Show has been a long-standing tradition in our community, bringing together local businesses, residents and organizations for over five decades. What began as a small local event has grown into one of the region's most anticipated annual showcase.
A Look Back Through the Years
Early Beginnings
- 1974: The first Home Show began at the Lake Avenue Armory as The Rotary Home and Outdoor Show
- Late 70s: The event quickly gained popularity, featuring local contractors, home improvement specialists and community businesses
Growth and Expansion
- 1981: The show expanded and moved to larger venues, including the Saratoga Harness Track, as The Home.....Outdoor and Energy Show to accommodate growing attendance and visitors
- 1990: The event continued to evolve, incorporating a wider range of home, lifestyle and financial service exhibitors relocating to the Saratoga Springs City Center as the Saratoga Home and Garden Show
Modern Era
- 2012: The Home Show was changed to The Saratoga Home Show
- 2013: The Home Show was rebranded as The Saratoga Home and Lifestyle Show
- 2015: The Artisan's Showcase was first introduced at the show capturing the region's vibrant art scene
- 2021: The first time the show had to be cancelled, due to Covid
- Present: The show continues to be held at the City Center featuring over 120 exhibitors, artists and opportunities for community engagement
